Too long of a story to recap here. Just suffice it to say, Lulu, that you absolutely have the correct attitude regarding your neighbors in the Hood. And your new president sounds like a winner. That's such a blessing!
Blessings to you!Martha Jane Orlandohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11620499267401065780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5416556583423635558.post-70989577677907312512018-02-07T08:19:13.438-06:002018-02-07T08:19:13.438-06:00I have been following Liam (the storm). Be safe on the road, My Friend!

There was much discussion during the meeting of how to change the hood covenants. You might as well try to get a bill through Congress for it’s NOT an easy task. It’s the age old dilemma of the splinter in your finger & board in mine. How easily we ignore our own sin!
Blessings, My Friend!Loraluhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09428559311387283317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5416556583423635558.post-49048277996064968982018-02-07T06:38:23.429-06:002018-02-07T06:38:23.429-06:00We once (and our one and only home we owned) lived...We once (and our one and only home we owned) lived in a HOA community. Never again...the rules were only enforced for us "hoodlums". Funny, how the folks who have means never ever get called out for their actions. That, is another story for another day.

Have a beautiful day, friend. Winter Storm Liam (very true) is bearing down on us, which, my son, Liam finds immensely funny, lolol.Linda M. SAD!
Blessings, My Friend Loraluhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09428559311387283317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5416556583423635558.post-37959846413739972092018-02-07T05:34:39.921-06:002018-02-07T05:34:39.921-06:00‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ Matthew... ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ Matthew 22:39

The problem is that a lot of people do not like themselves. They find fault, real or imagined, not to like or love themselves. They blame their background, up-bringing, religion or whatever else to explain why they are as they are at present. "No wonder I have never been successful; I come from a broken family. My parents divorced. I was not well educated. I was always ill as a child ... ... ..." and many more excuses to dislike oneself. Note how much money is spent on beauty products, weight loss products, plastic surgery and so on. "I can't seem to lose weight. My nose is not pretty. My backside is too big. My breasts are too small ... etc"

With this attitude towards ourselves; no wonder we don't like our neighbors. Especially when mine keeps parking his car in front of my drive.

And another thing ... you really got me going, Lulu. I have ceased to give people advice. Years ago, when I was a life coach teaching people how to improve themselves and enjoy life, a young man needed help in meeting new people. he was always shy and could not start a conversation and make friends. I advised him to go to the park and help pick up other peoples' dogs' poo. This way they will start a conversation and make friends. I was a little disappointed when he was arrested and blamed me for his predicament.

On another occasion a young man told me he admired this lady at work so much and loved her from a distance. She did not notice him and he was to shy to approach her. I advised him to climb the tree on the side-walk opposite her house and wait for her. She is bound to notice him when she got home, or when she looked out of her bedroom window at night. He was arrested too and blamed me.

So from now on no more advice from me. I gave up being a life coach and became the president of our neighborhood watch group instead.

God bless.Victor S E Moubarakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04280638667651857296noreply@blogger.com
