THIS WEEK IN THE HOOD

The rumors of me blowing to Oz are greatly exaggerated---I am still here!

I LOVE storms--but became a little concerned when the heavy rocker flew off the porch and landed 30 feet away.  A friend asked if I got in the cellar and I laughed and told her by the time I realized how bad it was I would have blown away had I dared walk out to the cellar and for sure drowned!  Thankful--it all ended well here--no power for 5 hours and a messy yard were all the ill effects suffered in the bungalow. Some parts of the city---very close to me did not fair quite so well.

Meanwhile---the neighbors in the hood are once again up in arms---I decided you should see some of the emails that have been flying-

A couple of months ago, someone left their pets' poo on the right of way in
front of our house. We live near the corner of Edwin & Jerome. Bc we have a
single driveway, my husband moves my car out of the way every morning and parks
it in the street. As we are rushing out the door for school, my kids stepped in
it and then got in the car. They tracked it EVERYWHERE. It was so gross.
Needless to say, I chalked it up to just my luck, put a sign in my yard, and
moved on.

Then, it happened to my neighbor yesterday!!!!! They spent 30 minutes cleaning
shoes, their car's floor, and the kids' costumes they were supposed to wear
yesterday. I felt so bad for her!!! They were late on top of that.

Put a camera on the situation. My neighbor did that and it worked!
The other day I observed a man just letting his dog linger in that same area you are talking about in front of my house..  True it is public property but AS A COURTEOUS NEIGHBOR the dog owner is to cliean up their dog's mess.

Actually, it is a class C misdemeanor in the city of Fort Worth to not remove your pets waste from any public or private property.

There were more--the natives are in an uproar over left behind poop.  It would PAY to clean up after your dog---or face the wrath of the masses!

And then there is Halloween coming just around the corner---I got the creative bug and this was the result-

TALKING ABOUT A BAD HAIR DAY!

  4. Hi Lulu! I'm so glad that you got through your storm without getting any damage, or getting hurt either!

Nothing like a little dog do-do to start the emails flying. But I do have to commend you for your active community. I think it's great that you keep each other up to date. I don't have a dog, so having it's excrement all over the inside of my car would make me pretty hot too.
    Hope the owner smartens up!
    Blessings,
    Ceil

    1. Oh Ceil, I do not have a dog either--probably for this very reason!

      Have a great week!

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
