BALM FOR BROKEN HEARTS

I have discovered the perfect balm for any broken, worried, troubled, bruised -heart.  In a word

THANKFULNESS

When I am feeling alone--

I am thankful for sweet family and friends.

When I am homesick in the worst sort of way--

I am thankful I have a home.

When I am feeling the aches and pains of the day--

I am thankful I still am active and able to go.

When I grow weary of eating alone--

I am thankful there is never a worry about my next meal.

When the world seems to have gone crazy and I wonder"What next?"

I am thankful to live in a land of freedom where crazy is allowed.

When I worry and fret over tomorrow--

I am thankful I have today
.
He has finally brought me full circle and taught me the cure for a broken heart--
Living in the moment with a spirit of thankfulness is the miracle balm to cure the pain.
Acceptance of the knowledge--nothing has happened which He did not allow.
Secure in the hope of the future He planned long ago.

Once again Thanksgiving rolls around---
I am counting my blessings
With a Thankful heart
And Praising The One
Who Provided It All.

For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,  because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
I Timothy 4:4-5

  1. Hi Lulu! I am so thankful that God has shown you a way to be thankful, even in the midst of pain and challenge. I agree that it is being happy in the moment, which is something I still need to work on.
I pray you will have a blessed and peaceful Thanksgiving, and that you will feel loved. I am very grateful for your blog-friendship, and grateful for you! Thank you for inspiring me.
    Blessings always,

  3. Very good post. There is so much to be thankful for I won't bore everyone here with all the blessings I feel. :) One that seems to glow the brightest this time of year, after the love I feel from our Lord Jesus Christ, is all the friends and family that tolerate my quirks. I appreciate all very much.
Hope your Thanksgiving is happy, safe and joyful.
    Luv all there ~:)

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
