IT IS ALL A MISUNDERSTANDING!

NO HOOD NEWS TODAY---INSTEAD HAVE A GUEST BLOGGER-GOOD OLD HANK!

I have ALWAYS been misunderstood
and judged harshly!
It is truly a HUGE misunderstanding!

I am missing the strong male influence in my life
Since my Father is behind bars!
An example I do not care to follow!

And then my poor mother left me far too early
Following her own need to chew the wrong things!
Only a tiny baby and left without my mommie!

I was a cute ball of fur in those early days
An orphan who could do no wrong.
Cuteness served me well and their sympathy took me far.

I began to grow up and that deep-deep need began to surface
Something--anything - rubber or plastic or metal or leather
I was getting my dog size teeth and needed to ease the pain!

I missed my mommie and daddy and thus it all began
With my uncontrollable NEED to chew.
Who could resist the smell of my mommie's shoe-quite a tasty treat!

I really am not selective--anything will do
You must understand left alone all day
A fellow can get thirsty -how else was I to get to the water?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

What else was I to do
But chew and meddle and cause a big mess always followed by a great fuss!
It was not my fault my feet are so big and my tail has a great wag!

I even resorted to chewing on George
Though of questionable value, he was not tasty-in fact a little nasty!
Things were not good after this costly chew!

All I really wanted was to be with my mistress
I would even sit in the leather chair at her work!
Have you noticed leather tastes as good as it smells?

When she left me alone all day, I missed her so
I jumped in her face when she finally came home.
What was she thinking bending down?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The problem could be all solved--if she just would think
I  need my mommie--every moment of the day
Put me in the car and take me with you!

At the very least you all must agree
A trip to the Shrink may be the order of the day!
Psychosis, Neurosis, or some such babble has to be the blame.

Come to my rescue--give me a break
It is not really me---I am just misunderstood!
Why just look at this innocent face?

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
