A DENT IN MY HALO

Lest you get the wrong idea---I am NO Saint---I am sinful---Born of Adam and Eve--
A resident of the Fallen World---and I only dare approach His throne because of the grace that is poured over me--daily!

There are many dents in my halo---a short example using some of the recent posts:

A recent post concerning praying for my enemies:  here

I KNOW what I should pray--love and mercy---
What my heart wants to pray is for a plague of pestilence to rain on those enemies and God to smite their heads.

A recent post concerning the etching of God's words upon my heart: here

In truth many days, I find myself caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, and do not even take the time to read His word, much less tattoo it upon my heart.

A post about the masks I wear:  here

I struggle with taking those masks off and revealing the real me---think you will not love me if you see who I really am.

A post about my need to make an effort to reach the Father:  here

I forget to kick--forget to turn--forget to lean--forget to seek.  He never moves--He is there--when will I learn?

Finally a post about trust:  here

I still find myself with my hands over my head--crouched in fear--waiting for the next shoe to drop and expecting the worst.I have allowed the world to influence my trust tank--and forgotten all He has done.  Even with the knowledge of how He has protected and strengthened me over the past two + years----I still have to work on trusting Him with it all.

SO there will be NO statues of Saint Loralu built--I am just like you--we are all not worthy, and YET He loves us---Dents and All---He loves us!

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
