Even Though death's sting has left you grieving and wondering why one so precious has been taken from you
Even Though your health is rocky and pain is your constant companion and your body has betrayed you
Even Though you are not sure how you will pay your bills, educate your children, put food on the table
Even Though your friends have deserted you-turned their backs and abandoned you leaving you completely alone
Even Though your precious child was taken and the hole in your heart will never be filled
Even Though your spouse has walked away, turned their back, forsaken you for others
Even Though your children fled your home and walked the path of poor choices
Even Though your loved one is disabled, demented, or suffering with chronic or terminal disease
Even Though the sky is no longer blue, but has turned black and the birds no longer sing
Even Though this life seems to have betrayed you and you have lost the ability to even dream
Even Though when it could not get worse--it became even more bleak and you fear what's next
Even Though there is no more dream for a better tomorrow, only the reality of today
HE IS HERE and He will never leave you, and He will always love you,
He will sustain you, He will hold you, He will be by your side,
He will shower you with grace and cover you with mercy
He will be your faithful guide.
Even Though life seems hopeless--He is our hope
life seems meaningless--He is our meaning
life seems bitter--He is our joy
life seems loveless-HE IS LOVE
When I find nothing left but God,
then I fine that God is all I need.
Amish Proverb
So what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose?
If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us,
embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst
by sending His own Son,
is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us?
Romans 8:31-32
The Message
"Even though" reminds me of Dr. Laura Schlesinger's radio program. She's always reminding people that "even though (insert problem or worry here)" happens, it's no excuse for bad behaviour. It's childish like the "what if" crowd likes to spout. In other words, it's unproductive. She's quite right. Thank you for the inspirational message today. Hope Texas received some of this lovely rain we had here in SE last night. ~:)
ReplyDeleteOh, Sparky, I remind myself--my ways are not God's ways and my thoughts are not His. I serve a MIGHTY God--who owes my no explanations! NO RAIN---MUCH HEAT---here in Fort Worth! SIGH!
DeleteGreat post! Thanks for the smiles. Blessings
