USE IT OR LOSE IT

These massive muscles did not appear magically overnight.  They came with HARD work outs, LOTS of sweating, and determination and persistence to be the best I can be.

Instructors like this

stand in front of me and push---prod---and motivate me to work hard.  They remind me it takes pushing myself to the limit for growth to take place   Lifting the spoon of ice cream to my lips does not count as a workout!

The benefits from all this hard work is a well toned body, increased strength, and enjoying a healthy life.  Who knew old age does not mean decline and frail health--but instead full and busy days filled with joy.  Days of hard work and commitment have lead to muscles I am proud of.

We are promised spiritual gifts in The Word.  Prophecy, Service, Teaching, Encouragement, Leadership, Mercy, Faith, Healing, Discernment--are a few of these gifts.  While studying Romans in Bible Study, we spoke of developing these gifts by using them. The gifts are no good left tied in their package and stored away at home.   As we flex our spiritual muscles and use the gifts we are blessed with they grow.  Use produces a  fully developed gift.  As we push ourselves out the door and use our gifts for His good glory, He is pleased and will bless us further by developing them to their fullness.

Hard work--usually pays off---in the gym or in His service---
ALL FOR HIS GOOD GLORY!

I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong-that is that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.
Romans 1:11-12

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
