DOWN IN THE CANYON AND UP ON THE RIDGE

HAD A GREAT ADVENTURE
IN THE PALO DURO CANYON-
THE TEXAS GRAND CANYON
LAST WEEKEND

ONLY A 5 HOUR DRIVE
FROM MY HOUSE
IT IS QUITE A
WONDER OF CREATION

WE HIKED
TO THE LIGHTHOUSE
THE FIRST DAY

70 MILES LONG
800 FEET DEEP
AND AS MUCH AS TWENTY MILES WIDE
AS YOU TRAVEL THE FLAT PANHANDLE
IT SUDDENLY APPEARS
A WONDER TO BEHOLD!

THERE WERE CAVES

HUGE ROCKS

BEAUTIFUL ROCK FORMATIONS

RIDGES TO CLIMB TO

HORSES TO RIDE

ZIP LINES--YES I DID!

AND IN TEXAS
THEY BURY THEIR CADILLACS!
THE WIND CHILL THIS DAY WAS AROUND 10 DEGREES!

STILL LIVING LIFE LARGE
HERE IN THE HOOD!

    1. The zip line felt very safe - it was the rope bridge going to the tower which was a little scary! It was a LOT of fun!!

  3. Now that's my kind of vacation! That part of the world has a rugged beauty about it. I miss visiting western Texas. Maybe we'll be able to travel again someday.
Hope your day is blessed. ~:)

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
