  1. This song reminds me of an old lady I used to visit in an old peoples' home. Every Wednesday all the old people used to gather in the hall and a pastor used to visit for prayer sessions. I used to push her in the wheelchair to the hall. Once the pastor asked people to request hymns which we would all sing together. Someone played the piano. The old lady chose this song. I remember it well.

She died about three months ago.

    God bless.

    1. What a precious memory. Taken from the Psalms, this describes perfectly how we yearn for God, Victor!

    2. You know how things happen in life and you don't mean them to. I saw this lady in church who used to always drive and bring in Mrs R. This time she was all alone. I asked her where is Mrs R. She said she was now in an old peoples' home. I visited Mrs R there once. You know how it is. You can't just visit once and that's it. So I visited again, and again, and again. For a long time I visited Mrs R weekly and took her in her wheelchair to the prayer meetings. Until one day, she became too ill and died. Her family was there.

      God bless.

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
