TUESDAY'S TOPIC

Today's word was sent by the same person who sent yesterday's word -Trust.  Within a few short minutes after our long discussion concerning trust, they sent me this word.  Today's discussion will be short.  There are things the less we say to detract from the main point, the better.

This pretty much sums us up.  We Believers are no better than the Israelites.  No matter what we are blessed with ~ we are grumbling for what else we want.  NEVER SATISFIED!

IF we could only adopt ~

our days of grumbling would soon be cut short.  Look around you ~  think over how  you are

Before you put your foot on the floor every morning, begin your day by stating out loud something, someone, or someway you have been blessed.  Begin each day by remembering

Do not spend all your time listing your wants, instead remember your blessings. When life seems its hardest, remind yourself of the physical but especially spiritual riches which overflow in your life.   In the prayer model A C T S --We speak our Adoration of The Omnipotent God, Confess our sins,  GIVE THANKS for our blessings, and THEN add our supplications in our prayers.  Speaking out loud what we have to be thankful for will lead to a change of heart.  We will move from grumbling to gratitude.  I leave you with this C.S. Lewis quote ~

"We ought to give thanks for all fortune: if it is good, because it is good; if bad, because it works in us patience, humility, contempt of this world and the hope of our eternal country."

QUICK   ~ NAME SOMETHING FOR WHICH YOU ARE GRATEFUL

"I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
    I will tell of all your wonderful deeds."
Psalm 9:1

  1. I'm a huge believer in living life with a Gratitude Attitude, Lulu. Can't even begin to list all my blessings here, but I make it a daily practice to thank the Lord for all He has done.
    Blessings!

  3. I very grateful you popped up on my FB this morning. My allergies are getting the best of me…I just needed a little kick in the rear to get started on my day. I was kinda having a pity party. Thanks. 🦋

  4. Today I'm grateful that I live in the USA, even though it is far from perfect. I'm also grateful that I have you as a wonderful friend who reminds me of ways to be better than I am.

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
