THE GOLDEN RING

I had a reader post a comment on one of my recent blogs about my "Woe Is Me" attitude and they would not be reading anymore since they wanted to read positive blogs that included "The Golden Ring" to strive for.  NOW---do NOT get your feathers ruffled over this comment, I did not.  If you put yourself out on the WWW, you will have those that feel lead to comment about why they do not like and will not be reading your blog.  Well he/she read it at least one time anyway--so contributed to the hit count!

My reply---I have several up and encouraging blogs on my side bar that might be just what you are looking for.  My intention has never been to portray woe is me--but here is what life is and here is how God has shown up and what He has done for me.  That will not change and frankly--most of these blog posts all come from something that pops in my head---such as LaLa Land--after observing life around me.  I read the comment, responded to the comment, and put it behind me.  An hour later--it pops in my head--THE GOLDEN RING!

The Golden Ring I am reaching for as I ride the merry-go-round of life---round and round---  The thing that has caught my eye and stands out as the prize above all others--The thing I keep reaching for and stretching out to get-  Abba Father----Jehovah--Yawah-God Almighty.  HE is the prize---HE is what I keep striving for---to be closer and nearer to Him--to someday grab that ring and enter His presence.  SO NO Debbie Downer today---I am the girl grabbing for the prize--the Golden Ring!

"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus"
Philippians 3:14

If God is prompting you to share this or any blog, please feel free to do so.

  1. I don' t know who your critic is but he/she can keep searching for their "Pollyanna"....I say: Woe is all of us.....and I admire you for your ability to get down and get dirty with the rest of us...digging through the past lessons, sorting and culling the present moments in preparation to live your earthly life as God hopes you can in the days ahead.
Hat's off that you can take woe which befalls us all and create positive from it...Keep up the good work....we who struggle don't want a spoonful of sugar to make the medicine (the woe) go down!

    1. Marion, The truth--which is difficult for some to swallow-is that we live in a fallen world and it is filled with woe--read the scriptures, BUT GOOD NEWS--"HE will wipe EVERY tear from their eyes. There will be NO more death, or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." PRAISE GOD! There is NO LaLa Land when you are a believer but HE is by our side--and will strengthen us and uphold us--until we are in the place of "NO MORE TEARS"!

  5. Most wedding venues are beautiful places anyhow, so they'll be used to the British weather letting down brides before, and no doubt have a proffered beauty spot indoors to act as the back-drop for your wedding photographers to take your photos.

  6. The cushion cut diamond is one of those shapes that will never go out of style. After all, they have been around for hundreds of years. If you are searching for a classic diamond shape, then the cushion cut is a great choice.

Cushions cuts have a gentle appeal thanks to their softly rounded edges. But perhaps what makes them so special is their fire. No other diamond cut can rival the fire in cushion cut diamonds. If you prefer a diamond that gives off plenty of colored flashes, then the cushion cut is the one for you.

  8. The radiant cut has a rectangular outline and its corners are cut. The cushion cut, on the other hand, has sides that are more rounded, so its profile does not look as rectangular.

  16. As far as any jewellery is concerned, fading of the finish and sheen is a very common problem. In that list, gold jewellery is no exception! It really seems silly when people show great care in buying jewellery but fail to reciprocate the same in maintaining it. Bridal Ring Sets
