THE JUST

I am thankful for all of your encouragement--but I am waiting for God's prompting of what he wants me to do.  I will continue to post what I had pre-written until it runs out--or God inspires me.  It has to come from Him--not me---or it is for naught.  I am blessed to call you all Friend--He will continue to encourage you and is always by your side.

My sweet niece recently sent me a Lenten devotion based upon Psalm 34.  This Psalm continues rolling by me in my day to day life.  My dear friend sent it to my daughter and her new husband telling them she was praying this Psalm for them.  Since that time it has been sent to me and prayed for me multiple times in the past few years.  Such sweet words of love and encouragement are a precious reminder of Who God is.

The premise of the devotion she sent me is the reminder that God is with those who are Just.  I must admit, I do not always feel Just---but with some study and examination--perhaps I am seeking to be Just.  A teaching I came across while exploring gave these qualifications:

1. Lives of Love and Justice
2. God's Heart for Justice
3. Agents of Change
4. Dying to Self
5.Following Christ's Lead
6. Uniquely Called
7. Start Small, Dream Big
8. Be All In

Looking over the list--perhaps it seems unattainable---but the devotion reminded me---it is about "Seeking"

Seeking Him--His Will---His Plan--His Path-
AND when I miserably fail----LEANING IN

My reply to the sweet niece---"I am still seeking Him."

"He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God"
Micah 6:8

  1. Hey Lulu ... You'll know, you'll know what to do, who to be in this next season. As you lean in close to His heart, may there be a sweet confidence building in you.

And sometimes? We just need to take a bit of a sabbatical ...

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
