I spent four days in the company of a man this week--that once again proved we are all born sinful!

He was SO willful---always wanted HIS way---with NO thought to my desires--SO inconsiderate!

He walked through a room and left his mess strewn from one end to the other with NO thought of picking it up.  Even when I gently reminded him, "Wouldn't you like to put your cheetos package in the trash"--he would just keep trucking!

He only eats what HE likes to eat---and that pretty much is junk---UNLESS I happen to have something in my hand which I am enjoying---AND THEN---he would like a bite of my Spinach salad!  NO time for me to run get him a fork--he prefers picking up my fork and shoving it in or better yet--just putting his hands in for a quick bite.

LOVES to run around sans clothes---enjoys a good streaking anytime/anywhere--even in the backyard if given the opportunity!

Wants to watch the SAME music videos---large machinery films---over and over!  There is only one computer---if I DARE open it up--he is there in a flash whining about what HE wants to watch!

Never washed a dish---did a load of laundry---or even picked up a dirty towel.  House work seems to be outside of his job description.

Dirt is his middle name----do you remember the cartoon character "Pigpen"?

One moment clean as a whistle--the next his entire day's menu is on the front of his shirt--and I will NOT even speak about his runny nose!

Yes--we are ALL born sinful--willful--self-centered---AND yet---I was reminded me how easy it is for God to love us---

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

  1. Talk about PRECIOUS!! That blonde hair is out of character for the Jennings crew!
Hard to imagine that we could be that precious to God, yet so thankful that we are!

    1. Three boys--ALL with different hair color---interesting! He reminds me a GREAT DEAL of his Uncle Gabe who was also a blonde when a tot!

  2. {{{BIG SMILES}}} here..thanks for sharing..Blessings

  3. We are all born sinful, and as hard as we try, we will be until we are made white as snow and resting with Jesus. It is just part of our nature. Hard as we try every day. Thank you so much for stopping by my place. Your picture is so precious.

  4. Oh my goodness...what a sweetie! Yes, even when our intention is not to harm, we can be sinful. Thankfully we are covered by Grace.

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
