TRUSTING YOUR LADDER

Painting involves MANY trips up and down the ladder!  I have had several caution me about hanging off the top of that last step!  My "Handyman" asked me, "Do you keep your cell phone with you when painting alone?"  Why YES I do--but I have also almost fallen more times than I can recount when fumbling around trying to answer the crickets chirping (my ring tone) at the top of that ladder.

My sweet friend fell off a ladder when balancing on that top step---you know the one that says "This is NOT a step!"  She broke her heel---surgery and all these months later---I am not sure if her foot will ever be the same.  You cannot always trust you ladder!

The walls surrounding the stairs leading up to the apartment need to be painted.  I am saving that deed for the end---have not figured out how to balance that ladder on those steps---climb up the ladder and paint the 2nd story ceiling.  I prefer to NOT have any broken bones!  You just can NOT always trust a ladder!

Jacob had a dream about angels ascending and descending a ladder to Heaven.  Jesus referred to the same ladder in the New Testament.  Jesus told us HE was the ladder between Earth and Heaven.  A MOST trustworthy ladder---even the very top step!

"And he dreamed: A ladder was set on the ground and it reached all the way up to the sky; angels of God were going up and down on it."
Genesis 28: 11-12

"You haven't seen anything yet!  Before this is over you're going to see heaven open and God's angels descending to the Son of Man and ascending again."
John 1:51
