GLORY!

I put away this beautiful set this week
After leaving it out with purpose
Long after all the other lovelies were put away
To help me remember the gift and the glory
Of His birth long ago

A reminder of a humble beginning
Followed by a humble life
And those final years spent in service
To all those He held so dear
He would even give His life
So that they might live

I am lifting up praise for the glory of it all.

  2. That is a beautiful Nativity set. It reminds me of one we purchased years ago in Mexico. Our daughter has it now. Have a wonderful Lord's Day.

  3. Hi Lulu! I really enjoyed your video today. (One of the singers looks like a guy I've seen before...American Idol???)
I LOVE the fact that you kept out your Nativity set. The way you explained how much it reminded you of a humble life is so touching. We really don't need bold sweeps and big reminders of that, right? A humble family, the joy of the season, remembering the Lord as a child, just like we were. That's enough.

    Hope you are feeling better?
    Happy Sunday my friend,
    Ceil

    1. Thank You, Ceil. I think I turned the corner and am back on the street to wellness. For some reason as I get older--it seems to take longer to get past these little things!
      Have A Blessed Week, Friend!

  4. I know the need to finally put away the last of the Christmas things, but ... maybe we can start a new tradition of keeping a special favorite out year round?

    ;*)

    1. Good thought, Linda. Unfortunately when you live in a small home, there is not much room for that--but perhaps one small thing? YES!

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
