MEANWHILE HERE IN THE HOOD

No one told me that along with the title of landlord came traffic cop.  My first tenant moved out--I will miss her and those crazy resident hours--and the next one moved in.  Having read the book Upstairs at the White House, I must quickly admit it was NOT the smooth transition I envisioned!  You can only back one truck into the drive at a time and the new tenant was anxious to get moved during the weekend.  It was uncontrolled chaos!  The good news---no down time between tenants.  The bad news--the new tenant is very short term (you don't want that story)--so will have to go through all of this again.

Following weeks of rain, we are finally beginning to dry out and my gills have disappeared.  I am not too sure what this strange bright light which appears in the sky every morning is, but it makes for a much brighter day.

These two Ruston girls--Salli & Sharon surprised me with a lunch visit on their way to Jackson Hole to run a half marathon.  When I received this next picture, something told me they might be enjoying more than just the run.

AND THEN--

I had my feet back in The Promised Land--Louisiana--ever so briefly

Put my eyes on these wonderful friends and more---laughed and laughed and laughed.  WHAT FUN!

Living life large--here in The Hood & beyond this week!

  2. Can't help but smile with them just looking at the pictures. What fun. The rain followed me back to California, what a treat for us. Twice in two days.

    1. Praying we have another chance to meet and do our own laughing, Kim. Glad you took some of our rain back with you. Know you are experiencing some of the same dry times we have had here in TX the last few years!
      Blessings!

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
