MIRROR-MIRROR---

There was a comment on yesterday's blog concerning soul searching--self examination.  Always a good thing to slow down and consider who we are and what we stand for---how the world views us.

Heavens!!!  Hope this is not the response we get when others look at us.

As I thought over how we look to others, it occurred to me a sure and certain indicator would be those we are surrounded by.  The true reflection of the person we are and how we look to the world is our reflection in their eyes.

The person we see when staring at the mirror is not who we are.  We are made up, styled up, nipped and tucked up, and all other forms of fix it up until the reflection is a mere mask.  If you want to see who you really are---think about your friends and your family---and how they perceive you--how they treat you.  THAT is a true reflection of how you look---a reflection of your heart and soul not the superficial--but the very core of your being.

How do I desire to be remembered as a great beauty or a beautiful soul-

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious
I Peter 3:3-4

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
