DIRTY HANDS

This little princess did NOT want to get sand on her hands and feet while at the beach.

WHERE did she come from?  There is nothing her mother and I like better than to get a good sweat on and I am blissfully happy when my hands are stuck in the dirt.  Not girly girls, we do not spend a great deal of time worrying about our manicures or powdering our noses.   With three brothers and two not so girly women in her life---how in the world did she get so finicky?

The three amigos are a walking menu board of the day's meals--all on their shirts-with a side of what they have been doing covering the remaining space.   They are clean approximately 1.5  seconds after their baths--and then it is all downhill.

I am happy to report by the time we left to go home, with LOTS of desensitization, the princess was throwing sand at the rest of us.  With plenty of exposure and observation, she finally realized the sand could be fun and a little dirt never hurt anyone.

My home state of Louisiana is suffering through the calamity of a great flood.  It is heartbreaking to see the devastation.  Many have lost everything and have no flood insurance.  Areas have been flooded which have not flooded since 1983.

Having lived through Hurricane Katrina flooding, we all know what is in store.  A HUGE CLEANUP!  And Somebody will need to get their hands dirty and help!  Somebody has to pitch in and do the dirty work.  Somebody has to reach deep into their pocket and provide financial help.  It will take an Army of Somebody's to overcome this devastation.  Pray with me to know how to help, and if God leads us to get your hands dirty and become a Somebody--He will bless your efforts!

10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
Hebrews 6:10

  1. Praying for the people of Louisiana as well as for you and your family.

It's great that you enjoyed yourself at the beach. I always love going to the beach; especially some secluded place where I sit quietly listening to the waves crashing against the rocks and pebbles.

God bless you and yours, Lulu.

  2. We survived Katrina as well (and the EF tornado that hit Tuscaloosa, AL), and we had flood insurance and then after all was said and done, the government made it so expensive for us folks, we couldn't afford it anymore. How sad that is....keeping those folks in prayer. My folks said the same thing and they live in FL. and their not poor by no means. After 40 something years, State Farm dropped them because of the damage Charlie did to them.

And I think she is related to my husband, he hates the beach and sand. lololol

Have a beautiful day, Lulu. smiles

    1. Yes, we understand what is ahead for all those affected. It is easy to say it's not the stuff- it's another thing to loose all your stuff!
      Blessings, My Friend!

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
