HOCUS POCUS

It has occurred to me, I am a regular Houdini

I have the ability to make items disappear faster than you can wave your magic wand!

Why, every month, I manage to make money fly out the window.  It is a never ending parade of bills to be paid, groceries to buy, utilities to maintain, and don't forget Uncle Sam always having his hand out.  The Ben Franklin's literally seem to sprout wings and fly-disappearing faster than I can count.

And then there is my disappearing athletic abilities--mysteriously vanishing  while I am sitting in my chair.

Time is disappearing at such an alarming rate that my present is the past and the future is the present in the blink of an eye.

And my butt has completely disappeared--falling so low my rear view mirror now says--things may be too low to be seen.

My skills as a magician are so well honed that I can make an entirely different person appear in the mirror when I look for my reflection.  That person could not possibly be me!

It seems I even have the ability to make people disappear from my life--so many have left over the years.

Perhaps I am not gifted with magical abilities, but instead the march of time is creating the here today-gone tomorrow occurrences in my life.  As time marches on, most things in my life seem to be disappearing--the cycle of life stops for no man. All things of this world are temporal--here but for a fleeting moment.  Only God and His Kingdom are eternal.  As The Word tells us-

But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children--
Psalm 103:17

  1. I bet you're not as good a magician as me. I can put a red item in the washing machine and everything turns out pink. I'm not appreciated in my own household, that's what.

Seriously though. Even many things may disappear what is important is you. We may change in appearance, and even change our minds on certain things; but the important thing is that we remain focussed on what is important.

    God bless you.

    1. I might have been guilty of the same trick, Victor! And God- thankfully He never changes!

    Have a beautiful day, Lulu.

Your comments keep my writing and often cause me to think. A written form of a hug or a pat on the back and an occasional slap into reality---I treasure them all!
