An Irish author, Hazel Gaynor, weaves a multi-generational tale of a family of lighthouse keepers. It has twists, it tell the interesting story of those who manned the lighthouses, and it testifies to a time when honor and commitment to one's word were of utmost importance. This is an easy but enjoyable read centered in Ireland and America's upper east coast.

Based on your earlier recom, I just finished The Stranger in the Lifeboat. Wow. It's easily one of the best books I've ever read. Thanks, Lulu!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! It was a pick for our neighborhood book club. I am always amazed at the minds of those who write fiction. Today's pick is a light book--but I am a fan of historical fiction.

I recently finished reading this, Lulu, and it's certainly up on the list of all-time favorite stories. I'd recommend it for a book club, too.
